Evening bioblitz to document the nightlife at Edith L Moore for the City Nature Challenge.

Description

Join us for an evening bioblitz for the City Nature Challenge at Edith L Moore Nature Sanctuary on Friday April 28th, 2023 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  Stay for all or part of the time, but participants must arrive before 7pm, as gates will close automatically.

Contribute to citizen science by joining us in exploring life in the sanctuary after dark.  We will be prowling for owls, creeping for critters, and setting up a blacklight bug station to document the nightlife in our sanctuary. Free! No experience necessary!  Family-friendly, but recommended for ages 6 and above.

What to Bring: Dress for walking in the woods, including closed-toe shoes and insect repellent. Adults may bring flashlights and/or headlamps.  Optional: a smartphone loaded with the iNaturalist app and/or a digital camera set up to photograph in evening conditions.
