Description

Just dipping your toes into birdwatching as a hobby? Join us for a virtual Birdwatching 101 class with Carl Nooteboom to learn about the basics, including how to get started, equipment, identification, when and where to find birds, and more!

Carl Nooteboom is a native Houstonian who has appreciated birds his whole life but became an avid birder a decade ago, since then he has been interested in sharing his passion for the hobby with others.

Houston Bird Week, from September 18-25, is a celebration of the important role Houston plays in the lives of billions of resident and migratory birds. Houston Audubon and local conservation partners coordinate a week of in-person and virtual events centered around our region's birds and wildlife - from birding and volunteer opportunities to trivia and movie nights, there is something for all!
