Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I am the new Marketing Specialist at Houston Audubon. We are a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance the conservation of birds and their habitats in the greater Houston Gulf Coast region.

I started this position in November and it’s been so much fun creating meaningful content, learning about birds and wildlife habitats, and witnessing the impact that donations can make for them. That’s where Birdathon comes in! I’m working with the Houston Audubon communications team to raise money for this year's Birdathon fundraiser and I need your help! 

Birdathon is Houston Audubon’s signature spring fundraising event—a "walk-a-thon" for birders. Participants form teams to identify as many bird species as possible within a 24-hour period between April 11 and May 11. It is a high-energy celebration of spring migration that combines community science with a mission to raise $75,000 for local conservation.

By donating, you aren’t just helping us count birds—you are helping to save them.

My goal is to reach $150, and I know that with the help of my friends and family, I can get there. Seriously, even if everyone donated just one dollar, I would be over the moon.
