Hello! Thank you for visiting my Birdathon Fundraising page. As you may (or may not) know, my interest in birding began during a trip to Rwanda in 2021 when I happened to see the most colorful birds singing some lovely duets. Since then, I have not stopped being curious about our avian friends and take every opportunity to learn more about them and the sensitive ecosystems they inhabit. And, of course, I never miss an opportunity taking my friends and family out on bird walks!

This year, I decided to take a more active role in bird conservation and protection, and fortunately, I was chosen to serve on the Young Professionals Advisory Committee ("YPAC") for the Houston Audubon. As part of my duties, I am raising funds for our annual Birdathon Event! Since 1981, the Houston Audubon’s Birdathon has brought together enthusiastic teams of birders to celebrate nature while also raising essential funds to support the Houston Audubon’s continuing goals of conservation, education and advocacy.  

As the Houston Audubon works tirelessly to preserve the environment and habitats of our avian friends, the support from nature-loving people such as yourself is crucial. Our team, Birding of Proof (yes, this is a play on burden of proof, props to JJ for the pun), personally hopes to raise at least $10,000 this year! To that end, please consider making a small donation or pledge under "Birding of Proof" in support of the Houston Audubon.
