Greetings and welcome to the fundraising page for BETTER LATE THAN FEATHERS, the world's best Birdathon team. Their binoculars are polished, their tires are full, their snacks are packed, and their wits... Well, their wits are mostly there - but who's counting - this ain't about wits, it's about BIRDS. The dynamic duo of Georgia Fabbrini and Stuart Nelson are back at it, with their eyes on the prize!

What's this all about? The bottom line is that birds need our help.

According to the 2025 State of the Birds report, a significant portion of US bird species are experiencing population declines, with 229 species classified as being of high or moderate conservation concern. This includes 42 species at a "Red-Alert Tipping Point" due to perilously low populations. Strikingly, 112 species have lost over 50% of their populations in the last 50 years. That's more than 10% of nesting bird species found in the United States. We can do better!

By contributing to Houston Audubon through this Birdathon effort, you are directly supporting activities that advance bird conservation and positively impact their surrounding environments.

Supporters will receive Stuart and Georgia's famous live play-by-play updates and photos as they complete their crazed, 24-hour attempt to document as many species of birds as possible on Saturday, April 19. So, please help by chipping in what you can!
